
Following a review of Albany's operational business processes, various areas were identified within the business where DefiningIT thought they could bring improvement through the use of IT systems. Albany were already quite advanced for their sector with some of the IT systems they were using, but DefiningIT felt that reducing some of the administrative overhead caused by manually entering information into one system and then duplicating the same information else where would bring big benefit.
DefiningIT and one of their strategic partners Nolan Computers have designed a system which will dramatically reduce the amount of paper and administration in the sales process. This will enable their field based Area Sales Consultants to receive Sales Opportunities and Appointment information generated by an office based Telemarketing team into a tablet PC in the field. The application also allows the field sales team to undertake site surveys of the prospects washroom facilities and be able to provide a quotation for the customer on Albany's products and services synchronising this information back into the central CRM system.
This bespoke application is designed to integrate with Albany's existing Goldmine CRM solution which pushes out new appointment information etc. wirelessly using GPRS technology to the Area Sales Consultants Tablet PC.
